TELEMEDICINE

Dear patient, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic NJ Gastro is now offering patients the option to have a Telemedicine visit with your provider from the convenience and safety of your home.  This will limit exposure to the COVID-19 and adhere to social distancing requirements.

Requirements

Virtual Video Visit

  • Patients must have a phone, tablet, or computer/laptop with a camera.

  • Patients need to be able to use simple technology such as video chat (e.g. FaceTime, Google Duo).

  • Available for all NJ Gastro patients, new or established

Virtual Telephone

  • When video visits cannot be connected due to technology limitations

  • Available for only established NJ Gastro patients​

Insurance and payment information

Which Insurance plans cover Telemedicine?

  • Currently, most NJ Gastro In-Network plans have expanded Telemedicine coverage to include all visits.

Do I need to pay a Copay for Telemedicine Services?

  • Copays will be collected prior to the Telemedicine visit.

  • Some plans may still apply a Deductible and/or Coinsurance after the claim has been processed.

  • Patient cost sharing will be the same as a face-to-face provider visit in the office.
